Breaking Bread

Join us as we take an important stand against intergenerational poverty by "Breaking Bread" with one another, building a community of empowered women, and elevating the stories of those who have been silenced by systemic barriers.

During this event, we are also joined in the company of our trusted partners, who are there to share information about the services and support women can expect to benefit from throughout their care journey with Saffron Trust.

We are engendered by the inspiration of local guest speakers, who share with us their stories of success, resilience, and hope. The event is also a great way to have some fun, offering a range of raffles and prizes for guests to enjoy. 🤎

Her Stories

We believe that seeing art in person and finding personal connections with it can improve one's quality of life.

The Ballet Austin presents "HER STORIES"
3 phenomenal women. 3 phenomenal stories. 🩰

They’re acclaimed, in demand, and as choreographers, pushing the creative envelope. With classical roots and a contemporary focus, Amy Seiwert (Imagery), Jennifer Archibald (Cincinnati Ballet and Arch Dance), and Jennifer Hart (Performa/Dance) are breaking barriers with major U.S. ballet companies and helming their own independent dance troupes, featuring diverse movement styles, from ballet to hip-hop. These trend-setting women bring a unique voice and fresh take to their artform. See their work and share in their stories.

We'd like to thank the @BalletAustin for their generous support! 🤎

The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs

The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs

Austin Opera is proud to present the Texas Premiere of Mason Bates and Mark Campbell’s The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs, February 3, 5, & 6, 2022. This new take on the life of Apple pioneer Steve Jobs caused a sensation at its 2017 world premiere at Santa Fe Opera, and the live recording went on to win the 2019 Grammy for Best Opera Recording. According to Seattle Weekly, “Mason Bates’ score is unfailingly inventive and often gorgeous…”

Making his Austin Opera debut in the title role is baritone John Moore, praised by Stereophile as a “vocally and theatrically exceptional Steve Jobs.” Joining him in company debuts are Sarah Larsen (Laurene Powell Jobs), Bille Bruley (Steve Wozniak) and member of the Grammy-Award-winning cast Wei Wu (Kobun Chino Otogawa.) Plus, Madison Leonard, who triumphed as Gilda in 2019’s Rigoletto, returns to Austin as Chrisann Brennan.

It seems fitting that this groundbreaking new co-production created by Austin Opera, Atlanta Opera, and Lyric Opera of Kansas City will premiere in Austin, Texas, a city simultaneously known as “Silicon Hills” and the “Live Music Capital of the World.” Tomer Zvulun, creator of Austin Opera’s award-winning production of Silent Night, returns to direct.

The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs is inspired by the life and creative spirit of Steve Jobs and does not purport to depict actual events as they occurred or statements, beliefs, or opinions of the persons depicted. It has not been authorized or endorsed by Apple Inc., the Estate or Family of Steve Jobs, or by any persons depicted therein.

Please note: A negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours or voluntary proof of vaccination presented at the venue is currently required to attend performances. For full COVID-19 attendance protocols click here.

Saffron Trust Women's Foundation (STWF) & Kimberly Holiday will help to assist guest speakers on best practices and how to get around the stressors caused by COVID19 and discuss the effects for many of the women in Travis County.

Our goal is for families to take advantage of the resource from trained experts and share them with anyone who would benefit from eight-week programming. There will be various different topics to keep stressors down and giveaways to help reduce stress and help with financial burdens.
